After my graduation from the “school of hard knocks,” I enrolled in The university of “See If You Can Survive This!” I contracted with Daimler Benz to handle all aspects of vehicle exports, including leading convoys of trucks and Mercedes cars from Germany to the Middle East. I learned to play backgammon with Greeks and Turks and to negotiate with Arabs. It was a great lesson in respecting and working with different cultures and nationalities.
